Celebrating Creativity, Connection, and Community
Inside ABLE, the NEA Research Lab Supporting Autistic Youth
Islands of Brilliance and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee
invite you to a special gathering where research meets real life.
Dr. Kate Siekman and Dr. Jeana Holt are the research team behind our multi-year partnership with UWM. Join us as they share findings from The Power of Connection: Social Cohesion and Mental Health in Autism. Originally presented at UWM's Zilber College of Public Health, this talk was built on years of work happening right here in our community, with our wonderful participants.
You'll leave with:
A deeper understanding of what the research shows about belonging, joy, and creative connection in autistic youth
A window into our growing body of evidence and where we're headed next
A sense of the impact your support is creating, told through science and story
